Design and Aesthetics
The watch features an oversize 48mm stainless steel case with a curved sapphire crystal glass that has an anti-reflective coating. It also includes a stopwatch function and a screw-down crown, ensuring durability and water resistance up to 200 meters.
The thick, solid stainless steel bracelet with a flip-lock push-button deployant clasp is both secure and comfortable. Reviewers have praised the watch for its solid feel and the high level of detail in its construction. The dial and casing is silver, possibly with a hint of champagne tint but it's so subtle we're not sure if it's the watch or a trick of the light.
Movement and Functionality
The Aragon Antigravity - odd name, because this watch isn't going to defy gravity that's for sure - is powered by renowned Swiss Quartz Ronda Caliber 8040.N, which is known for its accuracy and reliability. The movement includes 13 jewels and offers features like a 1/10 second counter, retrograde day display, and a big date function.
Standout features include the arrow pointer indicating the date of week, and the dual-window date display at the 6 o'clock position. Aragon watches are not just big and bold, they like to do it differently too with their unique design language. You won't find any "me too" copies here.
Build Quality
Made in the USA, Aragon are famous for their rugged build quality and they really are built "like a tank". Only sapphire, the hardest material available for watch glass, is used by Aragon and it also includes an anti-reflective coating. The crown and back cover are both screw down, and that exhibition cover also features sapphire glass. A thick, solid stainless steel bracelet hold it all in place and will last for years.
Durability
What more can we say? You won't find a more solid watch at this price or even close to it. You can spend ten times the price and still come up short. We're not sure how Aragon do it for the money but we're glad they do. These are not available from any other UK retailer, so buying from us means no import taxes or international shipping fees to pay.
